Mothers day is always kind of a sad day for me bc I long to have that close relationship with my mother that I know we will never have.
Don’t get my wrong … I love my mom .. Her life gave way for me to be here.but I moved out when I was 15 and never looked back…
We talk about every 6 weeks .. She attempts to guilt trip me for not coming around more and that just pisses me off further … She was never really there for me … She’s stolen from … Lied to me … And manipulated me for her own personal gains …
I’ve forgiven well still working on forgiving … But I will never forget … I have accepted that addiction is a disease and that that particular affliction has a hold of her … I refuse to enable … I’m past that point in our relationship … But it doesn’t make the sadness any less painful ..
